John's musical journey began with a desire to play drums. Having found joy in pounding rhythms on anything available, young Johnny asked for a drum set. His mother suggested a guitar instead, no doubt a lesser evil in her mind. Santa left a $50 guitar under the tree in 1964, and John has been playing ever since.
While juggling career and family, John played mostly for the therapeutic value of making music. His most frequent gig was entertaining his two children at bath time. You can imagine where he sat for these performances.
After retirement, John found a niche playing instrumental background music at events, coffeehouses and restaurants. John likes to share his own creations and his unique arrangements of your favorite tunes. His two hour playlist ranges from James Taylor to Stone Temple Pilots, from Indigo Girls to PInk Floyd, from India.Arie to the Beatles. See the complete set list on the Gallery page.
